About Me
I still cannot believe I used to be deathly afraid of dogs. For no reason. I didn't grow up with dogs, nor did I have any bad experiences with them. One day in 2011, however, while I was going through a major life change (i.e., a breakup), I went over to my cousins' house to face their chihuahua. In the 2+ years they had had her, I avoided her at all costs. That day, however, I was on a mission to make a "life change". I decided to just not be afraid anymore, took a deep breath, and picked her up in my arms.
Three years later, my father brought home a German shepherd puppy, and I fell in love instantly. A couple years later, I fostered a rescue dog. Now, I have my own 7-year-old rescue named Bruce (also affectionately known as Batman, Brucey Bear, and Hungry Hippo).
All of these dogs have been the loves of my life, and I have endless love in my heart for your furry friends--both canines and felines--too! I truly believe pets are family members and deserve the best that we can provide.
My Approach
I will love your pets as if they were my own. That also means I would take care of them as if they were my own. Whether they require early mornings or late nights, I will provide. Whatever instructions you provide, I will follow to the best of my ability, and I will ensure your pet gets all of the sniffs on walks, all of the cuddles during naps, and all of the love and attention, always.
Before any engagement, I require a meet & greet with you and your pet(s) so I can gain an understanding of their needs and begin to establish a relationship with you both. I wouldn't want a complete stranger to care for my pet, so I wouldn't want you to, either.
Your and your pet's trust, comfort, and happiness are paramount to me. I approach pet sitting with patience to learn and acclimate to your pet's needs, a project management background to ensure things always run smoothly, and the ambition to become your pet's best friend (aside from you, of course).
